Biography

He was from the city of Chernihiv. From 2015, Oleksandr studied, lived, and worked in Lviv. In 2017, he joined the Youth Nationalist Congress. At the beginning of 2020, he became a full member of the MNK and headed the Secretariat of the Lviv branch. He organized various events for young people, including the training camp «Vidvaha», «Lytsar Chesty», and «Stezhyna Neskorenykh». He actively participated in organizing the «Dzhura» military-patriotic game for youth in Lviv region.

Sashko was a repeated participant and kurin leader at the «Hurby-Antonivtsi» field game. At the beginning of 2021, comrade Shelest became the head of the Lviv regional branch of the MNK and a member of the organization's Central Leadership.

In 2018, Sashko took part in the “Povstanska Vatra” jamboree camp, which was held that year in the city of Unizh.

On February 24, 2022, with the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, Oleksandr Minenok voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in repelling and restraining the armed aggression, first in his native Chernihiv region, and from June 2022 - in Donetsk region.

From November 22, 2022, comrade Shelest was considered missing in action during assault operations near the settlement of Spirne, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region. On August 20, 2024, he returned to his native Chernihiv on his shield.

«For me, Ukraine is above all. This is my ultimate goal», - Sashko always said. Comrade Shelest was brave, sincere, and resolute in every one of his actions. For his significant contribution to the development of the organization and the defense of Ukraine's sovereignty, Oleksandr Minenok received the status of Honorary Member of the MNK.
