Program "Army reads"
The "Army Reads" program was created in 2020. We understood how important a book is in the process of formation of a soldier's worldview and personality, as well as the influence that a book should have on these processes.
In 2020-2021, we actively replenished the libraries of military units and educational institutions with relevant Ukrainian-language literature. Thanks to the benefactors who made donations to the program, we had significant success in this - more than 50 units received about 35 thousand books from us!
But with the beginning of the full-scale invasion, requests for books began to come from servicemen from front-line cities and training centers. Our parcels became much smaller, depending on the size of the unit, but the parcels became much more numerous - we sent books to both battalions and smaller units. The geography of our activities also expanded - books went to Chasiv Yar, Bakhmut, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kramatorsk, Zaporizhia.
Now, as at the beginning of 2022, we make about 10 parcels per month under the "Army Reads" program. Such demand proves the thirst of our defenders for quality reading. So far, we have made 183 shipments under the "Army Reads" program for a total of 48,527 books! You can see the list of books that we give to the military here.
