We have received a book for the ASSET+ course from the American College of Surgeons

We have received a book for the ASSET+ (Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma) course from the American College of Surgeons. This book is a manual for a very relevant practical surgical cadaver course for Ukraine, which is being organized by several public organizations.
ASSET+ is of exceptional value for military surgeons, as it is dedicated to improving the surgical skills necessary to access vital vessels and organs in trauma. It provides detailed algorithms for surgical interventions in extreme conditions, when the outcome depends on the speed and professionalism of the doctor.
The course teaches surgical access to life-threatening bleeding and the principles of controlling critical injuries. It is valuable for both young specialists and experienced surgeons.
Among the sections of the course:
- vascular trauma: surgical access for injuries to the vessels of the upper and lower extremities;
- surgical access for neck trauma;
- surgical access for chest trauma;
- operative access for abdominal trauma;
- neurosurgical and orthopedic interventions based on the principle of critical damage control;
- amputations of the upper and lower extremities.
The translation of ASSET+ is one of the projects implemented by the tccc.org.ua team (Community of the Ukrainian Reformation, All-Ukrainian Resuscitation Council and AUMF - American Ukrainian Medical Foundation) in coordination with the Department of Health of the Ministry of Defense and the Nash Format publishing house.
The book is not printed for sale - for the needs of a narrow circle of specialists. Distribution of paper copies will be carried out through the Department of Health of the Ministry of Defense and through organizations related to the creation of the ASSET+ course in Ukraine.
