On March 18, the first set of books for lyceum was handed over to the Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Oleksandr Gostishchev.

The books were personally handed over to the lyceum students by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko. “There was a long conversation about the conditions of study, plans for the future, dreams and achievements. Thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with partners, the library of the Dnipro Lyceum of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been replenished with over 200 books, including fiction, historical and scientific literature,” the Minister noted.

For its part, the NGO “Reformation” is sincerely grateful to the Minister for his attention to our project and support. We also express our gratitude to the Director of the Department of Communication of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ms. Mariana Reva, for facilitating this event.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for the lyceums of the security orientation and national-patriotic education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Children of military personnel, police officers, civil defense service officers and other security and defense sector employees are accepted for training. Since the lyceums of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are newly established, their material and technical base is in the process of formation and the need for books in these educational institutions is urgent.

The list of books that should be in the libraries of lyceums was compiled jointly by the Department of Communication, the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the NGO "Reformation". The list includes books that will become the basis of patriotic education of lyceum students, will give them solid knowledge of history, and will contribute to the development of critical thinking. In addition to high-quality non-fiction, the list also includes classic fiction.

The new project of the NGO "Reformation" "Books for Lyceum Students" is designed for 3 months. Its goal is to provide books to 5 security-oriented and national-patriotic education lyceums of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The books for the lyceum in Ivano-Frankivsk, which we plan to visit next, are already ready to be shipped!
