ATLS. Emergency medical aid in case of injury. Advanced Course from the American College of Surgeons (ACS)
Manual "ATLS. Emergency medical aid in case of injury. Advanced Course from the American College of Surgeons (ACS)", 10th edition is a training manual for physicians in providing medical care to trauma victims.
The ATLS program was developed by the American College of Surgeons and is considered one of the most effective in the world. ATLS courses are studied in more than 60 countries around the world. The ATLS algorithm is used in the vast majority of cases to examine victims in trauma departments in the United States. The main idea of ATLS is the step-by-step provision of medical care and detection of life-threatening injuries to the patient. The algorithm also takes into account the time of providing medical assistance.
In the conditions of war, it is extremely important to provide high-quality and timely surgical assistance in order to save life and prevent serious complications in the wounded.
