Additional circulation of the book "Combat and operational behavioral health"
"Combat and operational behavioral health" is a book, the importance of which is difficult to overestimate in modern realities.
This expanded edition contains information on all aspects of military mental health, including traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, combat and operational stress management, resilience training and other preventive measures, pain management, grief, family dynamics, rehabilitation and occupational therapy, medication , suicide prevention, forensic psychiatry, prisoner assistance, drug addiction, eating disorders, ethics and the role of military psychologists and chaplains, and improving military policy and practice in the mental health environment.
The publication describes potential causes of combat stress and types of emotional trauma; methods of diagnosis and treatment of psychological injuries; methods of increasing the psychological stability of medical workers; preparation for demobilization and training of the ability to quickly restore physical and mental strength; assistance in the war zone. The process of recovery after physical and emotional injuries received during armed conflicts is also considered; family reunification and reintegration; operational psychiatry; suicide prevention methods.
It contains articles written by military doctors, scientists, and social workers that outline all aspects of mental health care for servicemen while in combat and in the post-combat adaptive period.
The first issue of Mental Health Care was printed back in 2015. Thanks to the support of our partners, the American-Ukrainian Medical Foundation (AUMF), another 600 copies were printed in January 2023, and within a few months they were delivered to doctors in different parts of the country.
The demand is not decreasing, so we are opening a collection for the third edition of the book.
We have received a lot of feedback on the book "Combat and operational behavioral health", so we know that it will be useful for doctors, military personnel in mental health departments, psychologists and psychotherapists who help military and civilians cope with the effects of war.
