Practical guide "Mild traumatic brain injury. Rehabilitation toolkit" reveals the best approaches to the treatment of servicemen with mild brain injury and/or concussion. The manual also developed guidelines for speech-language pathologists with input from a team from the Department of Defense, the Veterans Affairs Administration, and civilian physicians. Based on these guidelines and input from many physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, the chapters in this proposed publication will advance our understanding of the consequences of single and repeated concussions in both military and civilian populations, and will identify the critical role of rehabilitation professionals in the treatment and assessment of concussions. improvement of the condition of servicemen who have suffered a mild craniocerebral injury.
